About us
2FA your team can share, without sharing the secret.
Fox Auth is made by Pigeon Digital. We build it for teams that share accounts, which is nearly every team, and that are tired of 2FA codes being stuck on one person's phone.
Why we built Fox Auth
Teams share logins all the time. An agency signs in to dozens of client ad accounts. A dev team shares the AWS root account and the domain registrar. Finance shares the payment processor. The minute any of those accounts turns on two-factor, the codes land on one person's phone.
Then that person is in a meeting, on a plane, or on holiday, and the whole team waits. Codes get screenshotted into Slack. Setup QR codes end up in shared docs. When someone leaves, nobody's sure which accounts they could still get into.
Personal authenticator apps were never designed for teams, and password managers treat 2FA as a side feature. So we built a tool that does one job well: put the team's 2FA codes in one shared vault, hand people the code (never the secret), and bring it to wherever they're already working.
What we believe
The principles behind the product.
Share codes, not secrets.
Secret keys stay encrypted on our servers. Teammates get the current 6-digit code and nothing they could walk out the door with.
Meet people where they work.
A code you have to go looking for slows everyone down. That's why Fox Auth lives in the Mac menu bar and inside Chrome, as well as on the web.
Your data is yours.
Export every secret as CSV or a printable QR sheet whenever you want. No lock-in, no hostage-taking.
Honest about what we do and don't do.
Flat, published prices. A clear changelog. And when something isn't built yet, like SSO or SMS, we say so instead of hiding it behind "Contact sales".
Meet Scout
Scout is our fox. Foxes are clever, tidy, and very good at fetching things, which is pretty much the job: gather every code into one den, then fetch the right one for whoever you trust. Security tools don't have to feel cold, so Scout gets to have a little fun.
Where we're headed
Fox Auth went live in October 2026. The web vault is open now, and the Chrome extension and Mac app are rolling out. Next on the list are Slack and Teams code delivery, SSO, and more apps. You can follow along in the changelog.
